Kidney Disorders Cause Impotence

Kidney disorders are caused due to the improper functioning of the kidney. The main function of the kidney is to remove the waste products and water from the body. Each kidney consists of the million of nephrons that filter blood. Damage to these nephrons lead to the kidney disorders. Kidney disorders can turn to be fatal if not taken care at the early stage. Nearly 18% of the Americans suffer from the kidney disorders and many of them die because of kidney disorders. According to the latest discovery kidney disorders may cause impotence in men. It was concluded from the survey that 50% of the patients suffering with Kidney disorders suffer from the either temporary or permanent impotence. Kidney disorders are caused by the two major reasons that are diabetes and high blood pressure. Diabetes causes about 35% of all chronic kidney disease. Having a narrowed or blocked renal artery that carries blood to the kidneys may also cause kidney disorders. To prove that kidney disorders cause the impotence a study was conducted by the group of scientists. In the study 100 men suffering with the kidney disorders and 100 men suffering with the impotence were asked the questionnaire regarding their sexual life and kidney problems. The group of the men suffering with kidney disorders was asked the questions regarding their sexual life. It was noted that 50% individuals were having a problems in their sexual life and 37% of them have even visited the doctor to know about the treatment of the impotence. Then another group of men who were suffering with the impotence was asked the questions about their kidney functioning. Only 11% of the men reported problems with the kidney functioning. It was clear from the study that kidney disorder and impotence are linked. And, the study also cleared the fact that kidney disorders cause impotence.

Please visit your doctor as soon as possible if you see any of the symptoms of kidney disorders like swelling in the legs, ankles, feet, face, and/or hands; extreme fatigue; metallic taste in mouth; or shortness of breath.
